What numbers to call in an emergency?
We've recently been asked again which number to call in case of a mountain rescue emergency. The 'overall' number that logs all calls is 10177. The WSAR number is 021 937 0300. Use the WSAR number if you cannot get through to 10177 - which shouldn't happen, but...
Also worthy of note is that in areas where cell coverage is low it is often possible to get an SMS through where you cannot get a call out. Also variable is the individual network coverage, so the MCSA Search & Rescue convenors' cell numbers should also be kept on your cell phone:
